Tilapia with Kachumbari

Fresh grilled tilapia served with zesty Kachumbari 🐟🥗

Tilapia with Kachumbari

Ingredients:

  • 1 whole tilapia, cleaned and scaled
  • 2 tbsp cooking oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 lime (for squeezing)
  • For Kachumbari:
    • 2 tomatoes, diced
    • 1 small onion, thinly sliced
    • 1 chili (optional), finely chopped
    • 1/2 lemon, juiced
    • Fresh coriander, chopped

Instructions:

  1. Preheat grill or oven. Rub tilapia with oil, salt, and pepper.
  2. Grill or bake the tilapia until cooked through and slightly crispy on the outside (about 20–25 minutes).
  3. While the fish cooks, prepare Kachumbari: mix tomatoes, onion, chili, lemon juice, and coriander in a bowl.
  4. Serve the grilled tilapia on a plate and top with Kachumbari salad.
  5. Squeeze lime over the fish before serving. Enjoy!
